The problem
FACT - If your vehicle has been declared a total loss as a result of an accident, fire or theft, your comprehensive motor insurance policy will only pay out the current market value of your vehicle
For Example, you originally paid € 25,000 for you car and 2 years later you have a total loss claim, you comprehensive insurance policy may only pay out € 15,000 whitch is the market value at the time of the incident, that means you will have lost € 10,000 in only two years.
The Solution
With GAP in the event of a total loss you will be covered for the difference between your motor insurer's pay out (or Car Sales Guide value whichever is the greather) and the NET Invoice Price you paid for your vehicle. Therefore, helping you to fill that GAP and purchase a vehicle of the original value.
Example:
• First cheque from you motor insurance company: € 15,000
• Second cheque from GAP: € 10,000 (up to a maximum of &euro 15,000)
• Your Total Payout: € 25,000 (which is what you originally paid for your car)

For Vehicles costing up to € 60,000.
